Smoked meat falls victim of daring thief in Slavonia

An owner of a family house in Mirkovci neighborhood near Vinkovci (eastern Croatia) was unpleasantly surprised when he discovered 6,000 kunas (811 Euros) worth of meat missing from the smokehouse located in his yard.

An unknown lover of smoked specialties stole several traditional kulen sausages and other cured mead delicatessen.

The theft took place between January 2 and 4. The police has promised to thoroughly investigate the case even as it could be difficult to press charges once the culprit is caught considering that the main evidence is likely to be gone already, the portal Dalje writes.
